Female Lagotto Romagnolo started in truffle hunting training.

Zoe is a young Lagotto Romagnolo female born on April 24, 2023, and began training for truffles about two years ago. After an initial training phase, work was temporarily suspended due to time constraints, but was recently resumed in the training camp, where she has demonstrated a very good response to the search.

Zoe is currently working with training support and demonstrates a correct and cooperative approach to searching. She has not yet fully transitioned to natural truffle hunting, which is why she is being presented as a dog trained for searching and not yet fully trained for working in a real environment.

From a morphological standpoint, she appears to be a splendidly built female, with correct general conformation, complete dentition, and a regular bite. Typical in expression and behavior, she possesses the sweet and cooperative nature typical of the Lagotto Romagnolo, proving very attached to her handler and pleasant to handle on a daily basis. She shows no particular sensitivity to game, maintaining good concentration on her work.

Currently, the main area requiring improvement concerns the digging phase: Zoe correctly indicates the presence of a truffle but tends not to dig with sufficient intensity, limiting herself to marking the spot. She is nevertheless an interesting dog, with excellent character and working ability, suitable for those wishing to continue their training with a balanced and well-disposed young dog.
